Sydney Fast Ferries is proud to announce the successful commencement of its first services between Manly and Circular Quay on the morning of Thursday, 1st April 2010. The Manager of Public Affairs, Kym Lennox, described the launch of the service as “an important day for commuters, tourists and occasional users alike.” The first service ran at 6.20 from Manly and at 6.25 from Circular Quay, with the last morning service to Circular Quay arriving at 9.48 and to Manly at 9.23. Theafternoon services will be running in both directions, from as early as 16.20 and as late as 19.55, as our wharf access agreement with the NSW Government allows.
The first day of operations for Sydney Fast Ferries marks the continuation of a strong legacy of a rapid, reliable and smooth ferry service that has graced Sydney Harbour since the days of the Hydrofoils. We aim to meet and, in time, exceed the standard for comfort, reliability and value for money through both our current and future vessels. Above all, Sydney Fast Ferries will be a service that takes you where you need to go efficiently and smoothly.
Launching with 31 services, we offer fares from as little as $4.50 a trip. Sydney Fast Ferries will be progressively providing the products and services that serve both Manly and the Northern Beaches as both origin and destination for commuters and tourists alike. We seek to provide both existing and new users of the service an improved high-speed, premium ferry service and look forward to hearing your views.
