What will happen with my existing Fast Ferry ticket now that Sydney Fast Ferries is the Operator of the service?
You can purchase a Sydney Fast Ferries Travel Card or individual tickets directly from one of our Sydney Fast Ferries ticket booths at Manly Wharf or Circular Quay, Wharf 2.
Will the Fast Ferry timetable change?
We are introducing a new timetable designed to maximise passenger convenience and minimise your journey time. The new fast ferry departure times will be little different from the previous ones; however, we believe that you will find them more convenient. Our new service is conveniently timed go get you to your destination before any alternative travel option. Please refer to our timetable on this website.
What is the difference between ‘counter-peak’ and ‘peak’ services and fares?
The morning service from Manly to Circular Quay and afternoon service from Circular Quay to Manly are considered 'peak' services. Similarly, the morning service from Circular Quay to Manly and afternoon service from Manly to Circular Quay are considered 'counter-peak' services. The counter-peak fares are cheaper than peak fares.
There is no differnce in journey time between counter-peak and peak services, only minor differences in frequency. Journey time for both peak and counter-peak are 18 minutes.
Where will the service depart from?
We will be using the usual ferry wharfs - Manly Wharf and Circular Quay, Wharf 2. The locations will not change, just turn up as always and we will be there.
What is the journey time?
Initially, our service will be 18 minutes each way between Manly and Circular Quay. With the introduction of new custom designed fast ferries next year, we expect to improve this journey time to only 15 minutes each way.
Will the Ferries be the same as before?
Some of our Ferries will be the same type of vessel as the ones you are used to catching. Some will be different. However, we are currently designing new, faster, fit for purpose vessels to replace the initial fleet early next year. Your inputs and thoughts on the design of the new custom built fleet will be invited over the next few months.
